VIRTUAL KATY INSTALLERS

Once you have the VK license, you need to install Virtual Katy to use it. Choose and download the appropriate installer you need to run Virtual Katy on your system.

If you are using older versions of VK (before VK 3.0) scroll to the bottom of the page to download the installers.

INSTALLERS & PLUGINS FOR VK PREMIUM 3.0

The VK 3.0 Premium installers work with both Pro Tools and Nuendo. Simply choose the correct version for your operating system:


PRO TOOLS: VERSION 7.4.2 > 9.0

  • VK3.0.2 Premium installer for MAC and Intel/MAC users
  • VK3.0.2 Premium installer for Windows XP users


    • PRO TOOLS: VERSION 7.0 > 7.4.1

  • VK3.0.1 Premium installer for MAC and Intel/MAC users (MAC OSX 10.3>10.4)
  • VK3.0.1 Premium installer for Windows XP users


    • NUENDO: ONLY NUENDO VERSION 4.0

    Nuendo users will also need to install the Nuendo plug-in!

    Mac Nuendo Plug-In

  • For Mac and Intel/Mac users, right-click on the Nuendo application and choose "show package contents"
  • Go to contents/components and copy VKNuendo.bundle there
  • To check that the plug-in is properly installed, in Nuendo go to the "Devices" menu, choose "Plug-in Information" and then pick the "Program Plug-ins" tab. The VK/Nuendo plug-in should show up there.
  • Launch VK and change to Nuendo under "preferences".

  • To install the Nuendo plug-in on XP, simply copy and paste the .dll file (VirtualKaty.dll) to the following folder: C:\Program Files\Steinberg\Nuendo 4\components
  • Launch VK and change to Nuendo under "preferences"
